CHAPTER SEVEN

Silvie shivered under the pelts as she waited for him, and not because it was cold. Kelraz had kept his word and spoken to Ishan the Mage, and now there was a square rock half her size at the foot of the makeshift bed that radiated heat. There was one torch mounted on the wall, the one she’d brought with her. She watched the shadows dance eerily. Her heart beat wildly, her palms were sweaty, and she suddenly realized the mouth of the hole wasn’t covered with anything. A curtain would’ve helped. Now she had to worry that whatever happened tonight would be heard by all the orcs sleeping in their own holes in the mountain.

“It’s okay,” she whispered to herself. “I’ll be silent.” She felt both apprehensive and excited. She looked forward to it and feared it at the same time. “This is a good thing. I’ll become his for real.”

She heard his footsteps, then the light coming from his torch elongated the shadows on the ground. She sat up straight, gathering the pelts around her. She was naked underneath. The captain’s order had been clear. She was waiting for him in their bed, ready to be claimed.

He mounted the torch on the wall, then looked at her. Without breaking eye contact and without saying a word, he unclasped the leather strap that held his long sword attached to his back and placed the weapon on the floor, then started taking his clothes off. First his tunic, then his sturdy boots and his pants. He studied her face, reading curiosity in her green eyes as her breathing picked up the pace. He grinned.

Silvie’s neck and cheeks were red with embarrassment. She wanted to avert her gaze, not stare like she was, but she couldn’t. Her eyes were glued to those glorious packs of muscles that made Kelraz look like an ancient god from another world, another planet. His chest was marked by deep scars, the tattoos on his arms glowed in the dim light, and the trail of hair that led down, down, down demanded to be followed. Her eyes widened when she caught sight of his huge member. He was fully erect, and his cock pointed at her proudly, the engorged head glistening with creamy liquid that started dripping onto the floor. Silvie licked her lips without realizing.

“Your turn, bride,” he said in a husky voice. “Let me see you.”

She didn’t have much experience with men and relationships, but the few times she’d found herself entangled with a man in the sheets, the lights had been off. And Silvie hadn’t complained. She knew she didn’t exactly look like a supermodel or a porn star.
